I'm building a reverse flow smoker out of an old 120 gallon propane tank. I was wonder what the size of the firebox should be?

I built a smoker last summer with a 100 gallon propane tank (120 gallon capacity). I made my fire box 24X24X24. It is bigger than needed but I also added a box on top of the firebox for added capacity. It works great. I mostly use the end box for ribs and pit my big pieces of meet in the horizontal. Below is the build link.
