firebox addition

Can anyone tell me where I can buy a firebox to add on to a grill to turn it into a smoker?

I got my SFB at Academy Sports. But you can get them at most of the major home improvement stores. Mine is a Chargriller side box made for the Chargriller brand.. but you can trace out the hole and mount it on lots of things. Good Luck and let us know how that comes out for you.

depends on what kind of grill you have. is it the barrel kind; or like a propane grill?

Lowes has the chargriller side fire box for about $56.

It is a charcoal grill but similar in style to a gas grill (no barrell).

probabaly be to much trouble to make a firebox fit it. why not just buy a smoker, and have the grill too?

yep! but i wouldn't try to put a firebox on my LP grill. i haven't even used that grill. it sits in the backyard, waiting to serve. i kook at it everytime i get soom wood for the smoker though, so it shouldn't feel too bad. i at least glance at it.

I hear ya Chris, my weber hasn't been used in so long that it won't flame up right, must be spiders in the internals?

My son wants a grilled steak so I better get the grill working.
