I am building the FB for 250 gallon tank smoker and have ran the numbers through the calculator several different ways using different configurations for the firebox size. My question is if there are any advantages for making the firebox a perfect cube, wider, or higher than width? Cheers, Steve.

Nope, does not have an affect unless you are at the extreme of one of the measurement. Example you firebox is 2" high and 100" wide.
