Finally trying my homemade smoker. I built it for a whopping $25. Got some baby backs and a whole chicken. Haven't got racks made yet so hanging them. Will post a few picks soon.
 
That is not far off from what our ancestors did before the made in china smokers.  I bet it works great!

So far working well. Consistent heat. Got to figure out a better way for the smoking. Wood catches fire so wrapped it in foil and pocked holes in it. Doesn't really put out much smoke. Will find out in about another 2 hrs.
