Well, in-between snow falls. The wife and I wanted some grilled chicken. So while at the local grocer I picked up a six pack(of chicken thighs that is) and a twelve pack of PBRs.

Here goes. I'm hoping the pics aren't to fuzzy. They looked fine when I took them.

Shot of the backyard. No mowing needed.

Chicken ready to be seasoned:

Coated in Stubs Poultry rub:

...and onto the 22 kettle with the Vortex. Screaming hot. 3 potatoes added. Why waste the space. Also a chunk of apple for good measure.

Sauced and ready for dinner time munching:

Next day I had three left.

So I de-boned, took the skin off and cubed them up.

Got the ingredients ready:

Almost forgot the rub my daughter sent me to try out. It's pretty darn tasty.

Rice is almost simmering: seasoning pack added, Owens Rub added, and three chicken bouillon cubes added.

Time for the chicken:

Now that the liquid is almost evaporated time to add the cheese:

Cover and let it melt. Umm Good:

Well that's all folks, This one came out better then expected. Another leftover dish for you to consider. Thanks for taking a peek.

Number 1-How do you find PBR up there?
Number 2- How do you put up with the cold?
Numder 3-I canceled my "smoke this morning because it was 31 degrees
Number 4-Those pictures are FANTASTIC! Thank you so much for posting them.

Those look really good. And the leftovers turned out great. Good to see that you are not deterred by the snow and cold. Up here in Ontario we have no choice if we want to smoke year round. Nice work. 👍

Man, that looks good! Will have to remember that! Your yard looks like mine, had to shovel a path to smoker.

That looks really good! Awesome job Chris!
Also, send some snow my way.

Thanks Justin, I can't believe you don't have any snow. It was good, better then I expected.

#1 PBR is available in almost every store around here. Good beer knows no boundaries. :emoji_laughing:
#2 Cold is a whole lot easier for me to handle then humidity. I've lived here since 68.
#3 31* that's our spring time temps. So no issues. Wind that's a different story.
#4 No problem - just trying to help others out with their leftovers.

Thanks 2Mac, I have to say that cooking outside this time of year is getting tougher. I'm getting old and am feeling the cold more and more. However if you want some good chow then you have to suck it up as you very well know.

Thanks 2Mac,
Chris, I agree, that looks really good. Great job.

Rob
Thanks Rob appreciate it. It tasted better then expected.

Thanks Ryan, just trying to throw out some leftover ideas. With Skidmark recent passing. I don't have to shovel that much in the backyard, I used to have to shovel a path for him to go to the bathroom. Now like you it's only to get to the smoker. Much easier.

Looks tasty, nice cook!

That Buffalo Seasoning is awesome!

Thanks WHB first time trying it. It was very good.
