They will only have the info that you provide to them and they have issued a statement that all personal info will be safe guarded.
For what its worth, any forum, or other type of thing where you sign up online will also be held indefinitely, because the data bases are backed up in case of a system crash, just like the one that happened here. They do this to prevent the users from having to re-enter all their info multiple times.
I don't think it's a big deal, just be careful with the info that you provide to any online entity.
