Didn't know where else to post this, it's about rubs and sauces but not about rubs and sauces.. well, lemme explain:
Had a man my age come into the store to bring back a telephone battery and get a new telephone; his had worn out and a new battery wouldn't revive it. He drove a PT Cruiser with a big chile on it (?!). He got a call and was babbling about "I'll put your name on 6 of them.. Dorothy's Fixin's..". Piqued, I just had to ask.

He laughed, went out to his car and brought me back in a stick of dynamite and a bottle of Chipotle Red Mustard.. (Planned to have a pic here of them but Photobucket wasn't working well tonight!).
Now, it wasn't a 'real' stick of dynamite... it was a container that looked like a stick of dynamite with a label on it and a fuse on one end. Inside under the fuse cap was a bag of 3 oz. of 'Chili Fixin's' seasoning! He gave them to me to try. I took it home and the next day made up a pot of chili that was delicious! You brown 2 lbs. of ground meat, add two cups of water and the mix, toss in 2 cans of beans and a can of petite diced tomatoes and a chopped onion and let cook for an hour or so.. it was downright delicious, just a bit of heat to it (they can add a lot more if you like!)
It's a local company in Fort Worth right down the street from my store called Partners Chile Company. They make rubs, sauces and chili fixin's and sell them wholesale to use as moneymakers or promotional items, and will put your name or your business on all the labels! Here's the website:

I thought it was a unique idea and wanted to post it on here, maybe others would want it to promote their business or for a school or church fundraiser, etc. I've tried most their products in the last couple days and it's top notch stuff! It'd be great promo stuff at a cookoff or for just about any activity and fits right in line with the BBQ world, including a rub as well as sauces and chili fixin's. Of course, I hold no financial interest in it, not promoting it for any gain or anything, but just letting others know it's available if they needed anything like this - I thought it was a fantastic idea! The dynamite stick blew me away! (figuratively, of course!). An explosive concept, lol!
Check it out, you'll get a bang and a big kick out of it!

Can't get photobucket to work (no way to upload pix) so I put it on here as a thumbnail. Robert brought me over some more samples and printed up labels with my name on it to show what he can do for others, I thought it was cool! I don't have anything to advertise or a fundraiser to do, but if I did, I'd definitely give this some serious thinking! The sauces were very good, too, on some hot dogs I had for lunch (not my own.... yet... sheep casings are ordered, however...!)

Yeah, I had that thought run through my head too.

Robert stopped back in yesterday, got talking to him about the forum, he's interested in doing some bacon. He said he had several BBQ catering teams sell his product with their business name on it, thought that was a great way to advertise their business. I'll ask him next time he comes in if they'd do less than a 6 case minimum on the sauces, that Chipotle Mustard sauce is absolutely great on a hot dog! Or, maybe I could buy 6 cases and anybody who wants to try a bottle or two I'll send it to you. see what shipping costs are first tho. The pepper sauce is good too and so's the hickory smoke, but I told him I prefer my smoke straight from the source, lol! It was real good on a hamburger though and I wouldn't fire up the smoker just for a single burger (but if the kids and grandkids come over, that's a different story! haha!).
Speaking of which, my wife's aunt from upstate NY sent us the best Christmas present, it was everything we needed for Christmas morning breakfast from NY State; a bag of Dunkin Donuts hazelnut coffee, a bag of New Hope Mills buckwheat pancake flour, a log cabin shape can of NY State Pure Maple Syrup, and a DAK 1 lb. canned ham; it was a unique and thoughtful gift! (seeing's how this is General Discussion I can get off topic a bit on it! lol!). We cooked up a great breakfast with all the fixin's (along with some of Pop's breakfast sausges too).
