Last fall, when I parked the bike I fogged the motor...don't want any rust forming on the cylinder walls. Fogged it real heavy. Just like I did the year before. Never replaced the spark plugs...even though I have 2 sets of them in my tool box. When I started the bike the other day I cranked the idle up, saying to myself not to forget the plugs. Needless to say what I forgot. Anyhow, when I got to the end of our dirt road I remembered to turn the idle back down. First light I stopped at, 25 miles from home was on an uphill incline. Needless to say it didn't "like" where the idle was set.and it refused to start..nothing like having to push it uphill to get it off the road..got it off the road and needless to say it started lol...
Had a nice little 110 mile ride. Bit chilly to take the Boss out on the back of it. Ernestina really enjoys our bike rides. She is, by far, the best passenger I have ever had.

I've yet to start up my outboard since last fall.  Looking forward to all kinds of fun with it.
Hopefully you don't get any fireballs like I did.....

When I lived in NJ I had a neighbor that had a boat. Tom had some trailer maintenance that he wanted to do over the winter one year. He literally dumped the boat in his front yard. Took a buddy with a tow truck to get the boat back on it. Tom wasn't paying attention when he dropped the boat in the yard...don't remember what all the parts were called that he damaged....I do remember it cost quite a bit of money to fix it all. He hauled the boat down to Florida on vacation....his brother lived there. They were out in the ocean when a storm came in...they lived...the boat...well....
