I’m a predator hunter, so yeah it’s exciting to watch them come in and know that for that short moment, you are the hunted. Btw cougar meat is delicious, very rich but delicious. It’s a white meat and you can dry it out in a hurry if not careful cooking.

We freeze below 0 for a couple months before cooking. Just a added insurance.

As I understand it, that will work for all but 1 strain of the parasite. There is a strain that is prevalent in the NE that will not be killed by deep freeze. It is hardy and made for the cold. But pasteurization to 136*F for 1 hour will kill it.......as well as all the others....no rare bear or cougar steaks....just ask Steve Rinella...

There's just no justice in this old world. I've been waiting 15 years for a cougar to come into my back yard. Always wanted a cougar skin rug in front of the fire place and a skull on the mantle. Here in Alberta we can shoot any predator that comes on the property. Lots in our area, but none in the yard.
