Now that iI have a few smoking sessions behind me and made all necessary modifications, I am ready to give my impression of the Dynaglo vetical offset smoker.
  • I feel the bang for the buck can't be beat.
  • You must perform modifications in order to get good results.
  • I added gaskets, welding blanket
  • Firebrick and a metal baffle.
Once I got all the modifications done, the smoker works great. The only downfall is that it requires constant attending to keep the temperature stable.

The proof is in the pudding. I got great BBQ out of this unit. This was a great purchase for this newbie pit boss.

I agree. It is a good beginner set up that won't set you back a whole lot of cash. I plan on using this for a couple years while i save up for a better unit. So far the results I have gotten have been some of the best BBQ I have had.

Glad it's working out for ya. I started with a char-griller duo. Man was it a pain in the butt for long cooks, but I learned allot from it and also put out some really good food.

Thanks. I know this is a petty pedestrian setup but iI have produced some really good Q out of it so far and iI am really learning what I want in a more professional smoker.
