So I wanted to do something different for Memorial Day and picked up this at Meijer this morning.

Any suggestions as far as seasoning? Rub? Sauce?
I'm planning to use a rotisserie over open flame.....

No help here Mose, I've cooked up a ton of wild ducks, hot, fast, and rare. I think domestic duck is a whole different ball game. I believe Z zippy12 did one a little while back that got a ride, maybe he'll chime in. RAY

Very interested in this, because I would like to spin a duck over an open fire too. I’ve done a ton of chickens, but would love to do a duck. I look at them every time I’m at the store. The only duck I have ever smoked was in a turducken.

Same here, Al. I look at them and balk at the price, but after seeing the prices for beef at Costco yesterday I figured why not?
What's a turducken?

a Duck wrapped in a chicken that is wrapped in a turkey - lots of meat

I love duck key is not to over cook and at the last 5 to 10 min use the high heat to crisp up the skin. Nothing like a crispy duck skin. Ohh and watch flame ups duck produce a lot of fat as they render.

It’s a deboned & skinned duck, wrapped with a deboned & skinned chicken, then wrapped with a deboned turkey. Here is the one I did.

I could really go for that, if someone else made it LOL! What a lot of work!
Where would you find a needle like that?

I don’t know where Judy got the needle at, but she does a lot of sewing, so I guess she just had this one. For what, I don’t know.
