I use my maverick for every smoke, but my only problem now is that the wires are too short going from the pit to the transmitter. I might be buying some longer ones here pretty soon.
 
I have an older ET-73 that I modified to increase distance.  It get's me inside to watch the game while monitoring the cooker.  I've had to replace probes once.  I imagine it won't last forever so when it bites the dust I'll probably go with an ET-732.  I like the Thermoworks TW8060 high heat but it doesn't have a remote feature.
