If you want to replace an existing Bradley Original Smoker smoke generator with a Bradley digital smoke generator, then it is possible. You may have to replace the temperature sensor as they changed types somewhere along the way. Call Bradley with your serial number to find out if you need to change it.

Thanks for the reply. I have a hard time regulating the temperature with the slide bar. I was hoping this would be the solution

Would I be better off just adding a pid
Definitely. You don't even have to rewire, you just need a computer power cord that goes from the PID to the back of the chamber. If you have the original 500w heating element, find one that is rated for 10A or more (it will be molded into the plug or labeled somewhere.)

Auber PID controllers are plug and play with the Bradley.

Talked to someone from Bradley today and was advised that the digital controller is not compatible with my smoker

That makes sense because on second thought your smoker does not have a probe already in it. The PID linked above, along with your existing smoke generator as long as the smoke part works, is a better solution than the Bradley Digital. I have a Bradley Digital, and I use a PID. It controls the temperature much better. I see the link above has a $5 option for getting the necessary cord, should you not have an extra computer cord.
