Congrats on the move Jim, Enjoy your new digs.

Jim , good things come to good people .
So what your saying is the folks that live in Farmington aren't good people. LOL

Pretty close to my neck of the woods! You ever head east, (Mountain Home) hit me up. I can play a banjo song for ya!
Like your family did for Reynolds, Voight, and Beatty when they came a call'in.

Congrats on the move Jim! I am glad you are outta Memphis. I knew where thinking of moving but did not know you pulled the trigger. Does Bryce have to go to a new High School or did he already graduate?

Jim glad you were able to make the move you've wanted! May take some getting used to but I'll be you are going to love it in comparison to Memphis.

Congrats on the move. Man moving can be quite a nightmare…we moved a state over 2 years ago. Lots of work but well worth it. Hope you enjoy your new home!

The reason for this post, other than congratulating you on your move, is to tell you that you need to try out Wright's BBQ. We know this place well because my youngest son went to University of Arkansas and liked the area so much, he stayed. We visit him often - great area - only 5 hour haul to get there.

They have several locations now, but we still like the original location best (in Johnson, AR). It is a total dive with the most amazing BBQ. Their brisket is tied for first for the best brisket I have ever had.

Welcome to the area, neighbor! Some might not know, but Jim has moved only about an hour to my east! Mrs. Red and I go over to NWA regularly for shopping, eating out, etc.

Yes sir! We’ll have to meet up for dinner soon!

It’s on my short list! Been so busy unpacking and getting Bryce ready for football/11th grade plus getting started in new job haven’t even really had time to explore much.

A road trip your way may be in the works.

"The best view of Memphis one can have. Fading quickly in the review!"

I'll bet. That's how I feel about population centers in general. We escaped the rat race 23 years ago and last year returned to Northern Virginia for a high school reunion. What a concrete jungle that place has become. My sphincter didn't loosen up until we were back south of Manassas on the way back home!

I've heard that Memphis is not the "Graceland" it used to be. An aunt of mine now deceased guided us through a driving tour of Memphis. They lived in nearby Olive Branch forever and my cousin (also sadly deceased too young) was a career nurse at St. Jude's. We were definitely wanting some Q. The only place she suggested we actually get out of the vehicle was at some riverside park where there weren't many people! I think she took us back to Mississippi for the Q...

Congrats and best wishes on the move. Enjoy half the crime rate of Memphis!
