I've been using the same Tony-C's injector for a couple years.... The "rubber" they use on the plunger tip doesn't get effected by the liquid... It doesn't expand and make the injector useless....
Also, the small diameter needle reduces the "oozing" of the marinade.. A win-win as far as I am concerned.... And the price is right... AND, Tony's stuff is good stuff...

I agree and think most cajun style are rebranded. I got like 4-5 years out of mine. I looked at the fancy ones but just went with another. Heads up, despite it being advertised as SS it is not all SS. Note sure what it is bronze or potmetal but the cast parts are not SS and certain things corrode it. Do NOT soak. I soaked in oxyiclean and apparently that is one of the worst things you can do. I do a good soap and water wash now. I by far prefer the broadcast needle (lots of holes) over the single opening needle. A few tips I learned. Fill it up with needle off and wait a few seconds after injecting to reduce spraying back at you. Back on topic of chicken, I don't think injecting is critical for chicken. A dry rub or brine for a few days can work. Also, I don't care for that much smoke on chicken. I prefer breast or quarters on the grill (wood fired). A light smoke could also work but admit I have not spent much time fooling with it. A foil pouch of pellets on the grill does it for me.

The one I have is the Spitjack Magnum Full kit. Comes with 4 different size needles and brushes. I love the needle that has holes the entire length of it.

That one is good for hams or when inject brining a loin. How about the largest needle... it will handle coarse garlic, onion and spices. I've used it to inject meatballs or meatloaf.
