Daughter would not eat meat

Well my daughter gets into things that she beleives in or she wants to try and she wanted to see if she could not eat meat for a month. It was fine for the first week or so and then it started. She was jumping on the PETA band wagon telling me that killing animals to eat is cruel and all that crap. I Told her I was not cooking anything special for her that she can make her own no meat crap (she is 19 so she can handle it)but after about the middle of the third week I broke her making ribs on the UDS for the wifes B-day and that was all it took. So now everything is back the way it should be, enjoying meat.

If they didn't want to get eaten they shouln't taste so good!!

Just thought I would share I thought it was kinda funy.

When I was smoking some ribs last weekend I started thinking that instead of waterboarding the CIA should have just smoked some ribs up wind from the detainees. Since they can't eat pork they would have cracked in no time. Of course that would have been considered torture also.

Ok that is just too funny. My 13 year old son tried that once too. I just made meat loaf like 2 days later and it was over. I guess a 19 year old can go longer without meat then a 13 year old...haha

That's just great!!! As you can see by my name, I've had to deal with a few Veggies and one VEGAN!!! Watch out for them Vegans! They wont eat ANYTHING that has ANY kind of animal by-product in it. Some wont even eat processed foods!

Wow - too precious...don't know where to start.

The mindset of youngsters these days...teen rebellion?

It's funny what stages some folks go through -- young and old a like.

I believe in a balaced diet...a perfect balance being a lot of meat.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for veggies too, but plenty of protein is not a bad deal!

I guess the moral of the story is, congrats on being a good enough cook that you could bring her back from the dark side with your Que.

Three weeks...what a wimp! My daughter made it nearly 9 months. OK OK, she started slippin when she slipped a few pieces of pepperoni when I was makin pizza. "Thats OK dear, I wont tell". Then it was a few slices of summer sausage. "Your secret's safe with me". Soon it was alright to eat the gravy and potatoes on roast night but not the roast. Soon she would eat B/S chicken but no red meat. YES she was cavin in. The roast finally took her down. Now she is a full fledged carnivoire just like I raised her. I guess its hard to be a vegitarian that doesnt like fruits and veggies.
