i bought my CS450 in summer of 2014, had the old dial type control unit so i bit the bullet and bought the new digital control unit in 2015. As an avid smoker and have done a freezer build with an Auberins PID i just loved the set and walk away option that it offered me. WELL the other weekend i had an auger issue and pulled things apart to see my motor had dropped off the back of the auger, no big deal just put it back on and tightened the thing up better. BUT while i was in the process of turning the auger shaft to line up best with the motor i "smoked" the fuse. easy fix... replaced the fuse BUT from then on the damn fan wouldnt shut off, plug the grill in and on the fan would come on and stay on !!! the grill worked fine except for this fan issue. i got ahold of Dansons and they have sent out a replacement board for me ...THATS A GOOD WARRANTY ...... hats off to Trevor at Dansons ...

just thought i would share this with the group ...

actually ... the Skeena is shut down to salmon sport fishing until July 11th...
poor sockeye returns, and also poor chinook returns. even the natives are not allowed to gill net ...
BUT anything can change.

the river opens again so i imagine it will be for pinks, and coho.

you can still catch and release steelhead and fosh trout so i will be having my riverside weeny roast soon, just waiting for the river to drop a bit more from run off !!!
will make up some nice cheese smokies next week
