I recently built my smokehouse with interior dimensions of 4’x4’ width and a 7’ height ceiling. Cold smoke obtained by firebox only and up to 170 degrees with assistance from a propane burner.

Welcome to the forum.
That's a killer smokehouse. Any pics of the inside? Maybe a pic of the firebox?

Very nice! I like 'em big and 4' X 4' x 7' will give you really good control on your heat in the smokehouse. I love your build, very clean...

No smoke stack though? side vents along the roof??

Welcome to SMF!
You are quite a craftsman!
That is one good looking smokehouse!
Looking forward to seeing some of the food you smoke!

My welder friend made the firebox lid with two separate removable plates to access the fire and to add a grate and cook directly over the fire. I didn’t need a chimney, I instead made a false ceiling where I can tilt a plank to vent out the eave. Works great

Very nice craftsmanship...good work!

Do you use grates for the meat or hanging poles? Please do post up some pics. of the cooks you do breaking your new smoker in!

Thanks, I use racks with frog mats for small stuff and hang sticks etc. from stainless poles

That is a beautiful set up. Just hope you don't live in bear country. ; )
I’m absolutely in bear country but I’ve already killed one for attacking myself and my dog. We keep things clean by spreading sand on the floor and replacing it with new on the next batch. By the way, the bear was riddled with mange and the Pennsylvania Game Commission actually thanked me for putting the bear down via euthanasia.

Outstanding!!!
Well Planned & Well Built !!!
Very Nice Job!!
Can't wait to see some Smokes from it !!!
Like.
