Locally if you can find them. Some butchers will have both, and you support your local economy.

There are several places online that have that stuff too. Butcher Packer, The Sausage Maker, Amazon of course.

Also Syracuse Casing Company. If you just want a little bit of casing, try a local butcher shop. They will usually sell small quantities and a lot of them are using top quality pre-tubed casings which are much easier to load on the stuffer. Some grocery stores also stuff their own products in the meat counter and will sell casings. I would call around to save on the driving.

Thanks all for your reply's it is appreciated. When we use to kill hogs we used casings from that and what a chore that was with all the scraping to clean them. Thinking of getting into making some specialty sausage like kielbasa and some others never made anything but plain old country sausage.

I like Butcher Packer for all my seasonings, spices and cures. For me, Syracuse Casings are THE highest quality casings, ordered and used them for many, many years for myself, plus our company I worked for (Great American) used them also - all pre-loaded tubes. As second-best, I'd order salted hanks of casings from Butcher-Packer.
