After reading numerous posts about WSM mods etc I decided to convert my stainless Meco electric to charcoal. Heres is my idea:

Remove electric heater, install weber vents in the bottom, use the weber charcoal ring and grate placed on   brackets. I was thinking about putting water pan in the bottom for ashes.

I was also going to put weber vents in the top along with thermometer.

What do you experts think of this idea?

Cheers
