Confused about new posts

When I get here I always click on the link to see the new posts. In my user information it tells me that there have been 9 new posts since my last visit and provides a link to view posts since last visit. When I click this link it pulled up 91 posts, what's up? Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Jabo
Starting from the Index look in the upper right hand area just under the yellow down arrow and the word Calendar.
there are 3 lines reading
View unanswered posts
View Posts since last visit
Mark all forums read (in bold)

View posts since last visit will give you the same info as clicking in the user info area where you do now.

After reading the posts you are interested in hit the back button on your browser which takes you back to the current index.

Now click Mark all forums read and this will mark all the posts as read.
Even the ones you did not look at and have no interest in
