Ok, doing a over nighter, w/ a 11 lbs of pork shoulder I found today, along with trying a over the counter rub by jake's grilling. Jakesgrillin.com

Well, first thing is to taste the rub! Wow! No salt at first taste, well balanced with a sweet heat, salt & garlic finish , textured with coffee grain, minced garlic & onion. Different from alot of the off the shelf salt licks out there! As u will see in the picks the coffee grains! Check out the web site, no great recipes, but a story backing up there mission.

Will up load picks later, server down

I have been seeing coffee here and there and recently wiped up a steak rub with some coffee in it. i blackend it and it was outstanding. i like that earthy flavor with some beef. not sure about pork but i am interested to here how this turns out
