I always clean the 2 racks and the drip pan in my smoker after each smoke. I am curious as to what others do as this is a lot of work.

Do you clean your grills each time? Once a month ? How many times and do you clean your smoker?

always after each smoke if not. grates, firebox, dip pans, new foil also..

Scrape the racks.......after a several smokes or if I have one that was particularly messy, I will clean the stuff out of the bottom..........mine seems to drain well enough that the bottom doesn't accumulate much on an average smoke.

I always clean the grates and the water pan with soap and water after each smoke. Build up of grease in the water pan may lead to a fire ... I think Travcoman45 had an experience with that happening earlier this spring.
