I'd give you the recipe, but nobody knows what it is..........not even her!!! It could also be called "leftover soup" as there might even be brisket and pulled pork in there. I know there is cheese and bacon, and that is all I need to know......the rest is just "filler".

Christmas will be the traditional ham, mashed taters and stuff like that. Christmas eve will be salmon, shrimp, probably lasagna too.

Making 3 butts this weekend for work and NY Eve.

I'll be smoking a few slabs of ribs for my wife to take to work tomorrow and then two 8 lb+ butts and about ½ a chuck roll for for my outlaws on Christmas Eve.

i have a 12 pound turkey to do and 2 store bought hams doing this for x mas dont think i will do anything for new years will be at a friends party no need to bring any food there

Planning on a mix of hickory and apple.

Might throw something else in there as well. I have done striaght hickory and straight apple, neither one was exactly what I was looking for, although both were very good, the apple was just a little too mild, and the hickory was just plain old hickory. I also have pecan, cherry, peach, and maple as options...........so if anyone has a suggestion or a thought, let me know. Just not mesquite....I hate that stuff.

What were you planning on using when you smoke one?

I have 6 racks of spare ribs in the GOSM right now for work dinner. For Christmas at home probably another turkey (blah) n' stuffing.

If you guys are making smoked sides don't forget to take some pics for Mike's Christmas Que Side Contest Let's help support his first gig as an Events Coordinator.
