Western NY where I grew up that was also called a Pot Pie, but here in PA I believe it is a Pennsylvania Dutch thing where a Chicken Pot Pie is what Mrs Bear described: "Wide Noodles in it, and No Crust!!".
Anyways - looks awesome!

Thank You!!
Yup---Exactly.
I did a search on it to see what the scoop is. Found This:
Chicken Pot Pie vs Chicken Pie
My friends and I were watching the Barefoot Contessa, and she made a Lobster Pot Pie, I started the argument by saying that it was not true pot pie. Being from Central PA, pot pie to us is a rib sticking concoction of any meat, (but mostly chicken), flat wide "pot pie" noodles and potatos all smothered with gravy. Yes! It is an Amish dish. My Calif friend said that this is only true in PA, and that the rest of the country calls a meat pie, pot pie. Hence my confusion. I keep thinking back to the Swanson's Chicken Pies. They are called just "Chicken Pies". What started this again was the the thread "Best Frozen Chicken Pot Pie. I say it is NOT pot pie if it has a crust.

Ate alot of that as a kid . Also made with Dinty Moore beef stew from the can .

Thank You Rich!!
I like a lot of that canned stuff. The only thing wrong with most of them is they contain an awful lot of sodium.

What ever you want to call it, I call it damn good and tasty looking.

We've always called it pot pie growing up. Mom used to make it with a double crust. BTW pot pie has a new meaning up here in VT.

Point for sure.

I bet it does ha!! As Jim Rome says, stay away from the hippie lettuce!

Looks real good John!
That is one of my favorite meals, but we usually make it with leftover chicken.
And sometimes we use mashed potato's for the top crust instead of a real crust.
But then it wouldn't be Mrs. Bears chicken pie!
I'm betting that the SV breasts were very tender & juicy.
Have to get the SV out & give it a try!

Thank You Al!!
We don't do a lot of Baking here at the Den, but this was the best crust I ever had. (Crescent Dough Sheets)
I even made a couple Biscuits out of the trimmings. They were Great ! Simple & Awesome!

Yup, that seems to be what's going on, and I'm 100% PA Dutch, and Mrs Bear is 50% PA German, which is also considered PA Dutch.
Thank You Frankly!!
