Im looking at converting a 120gal (aprox) chest freezer into a smoker turn ut on its side so it opens like a fridge. I presume mine has foam insulation as its only 15 years old how do u know what replacement insulation is safe and what isnt (im in Australia so brands mean zero 2 me)
also the internal sides are aluminium will that pose a issue?
im hoping to simply remove the internal shell pull out foam replace with "earthwool" im hoping the chest freezer has better insulation and its free.
also can i use a off the shelf char boil fire box as it saves me making one.
Am i missing much as i havent seen any chest freezers getting used here
