If you want a 16" bar then you are looking at $2.2k and a VP320. You must be a business because I don't see a home chef/cook needing much bigger than a VP220.

I have a VP215 and would like a little wider seal bar.

My error. I meant the VP230. Has a 12.25" seal bar. 16" seems a little much.

Vevor has one that has a 15.7" seal bar

So far the smaller Vevor one I have is working like a charm.

I think there are a lot of quality options. At the end of the day I would recommend an oil pump design. Change the oil once a year regardless of the hours used and you will probably have your grandkids fighting over it in 50 years.

The only think you will likely have problems with is the vacuum pump. As long as you still have the control board, impulse sealer, and vacuum chamber structure, you can replace the pump and any hoses you may need. It may take a weekend but you can DIY a solution.

Thanks for the replies fellas!
You're going to love whatever you decide on. One of the forum sponsors often has the best deals on vac bags. Reach out to them when you are ready to order. You'll order 1000 at a time so I'd recommend 4 mil bags in 2 (or 3) sizes that fit your application.

If you don't sous vide yet, that is one of the best things to accompany a brand new vac chamber! Have fun! Your food waste is about to go down to nil.

Keith, just be aware that shipping from Webstaurant store is or can be pricey! I got some really nice stuff from them but shipping has kept me away lately.

The one I'm looking at adding to my stuff.

It ain't the cheapest one out there but replacement parts will be readily available, which is why I don't want to go with the cheapest one available.

Looking at the possibility of getting a chamber vacuum sealer with a 16" sealer bar.
That definitely won't come cheap. The ones that will handle 11 or 12 inch bags are readily available fairly cheap if you want one that may or may not offer much support for replacement parts but what you want is more of a commercial sealer.

Have you priced the forklift you'll need to move it around?
FA, I have mine in the cellar on a Seville wheeled cart with shelves for all my bags etc.
