So factory box's on my therms were getting pretty trashed. Looked at manufacturer's soft cases and really didn't like them for the price(^ $20). I travel between home /shore house and therms would get thrown in a storage tub with other items for smoking/grilling there. Really wasn't any hard shell options out there. Friend of mine mentioned that a pistol case might work, so found a MTM single pistol model (MTM807-40) big enough to fit both therms, probes and assessouries for $9.99 on amazon. Shadow boxed egg crate foam and some velcro tape,
Can't beat it. Well actually you can.

PERFECT...I've been struggling over the same thing myself.
I purchased a small inexpensive tackle box from bass pro to put mine in but still had to put a couple small towles in to keep everything from rattling around.
I.love the gun case idea.

Good idea. I think I’ll swing by harbor freight and pick up the small 1800 Apache case (pelican style, water proof, pick and pull foam inserts). 12 bucks after discount
