Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum.

I used to have a water smoker but haven't smoked un a while.

I've recently moved to a new lace with some land. I'm able to make my long ambition of building a smoker a reality.

I've looked at various designs online but wanted to ask for advise from the experts on this forum.

I'd like to me able to:

- Smoke/cook meats etc
- Cold smoke fish cheese, bacon etc

So I guess that the smoker would need to have both a heating source for smoke/cooking plus a remote smoke source

I'm not even sure what questions to ask let alone the answers :-)

Any advise would be welcome

Thanks!

You can accomplish both, in any type of smoker, simply by utilizing an instrument invented on here by one of our members, called The A-Maze-N Smoker. www.amazenproducts.com Todd Johnson is the guy who invented, created, developed and is producing this wonderful line of products! It is both a cold and a hot smoking series of units, giving you the ability of cold smoking with almost no heat, to using a tube smoking unit on your grill with high heat.
I have the dust unit, the pellet unit, and the tube unit and love all 3; I utilize the pellet unit in my home-built smokehouse the most. Ohhhh the smoked cheese is amazing!
