Budgets for a smoker

I was wondering what everyone else thought about this.

If I spent $1000 on a stove (that my wife wants) would it be justifiable that I spend $1000 on a smoker??

What is your opinion???

Sounds fair to me . . . if you're both using them to prepare meals and all, I suppose you could make a pretty convincing arguement and, well, good luck with that.

Yeah, but count the hours the stove is on compared to the hours you spend churning smoke per month

I think that would only work if the present was for her and benefits her and her alone. Since this is a stove and benefits everyone.....don't think it will fly....least not in my house.

Now with my wife, the Queen of the Mocrowave, I'd have to ask HER for a new stove.

I think if you can get away with it, it's BRILLIANT. I on the other hand would have a hard time pulling that one off.

but you could also make the arguement about time. the smoker should out last and be less maintenance than the stove. so it's an investment, and how much are you going to save in the long run? I think it depends on the approach you use.

Sometimes is better to ask for forgivness than permission. Take the dive, it only stings for moment. Unless you have a REAL hard couch then it could sting for abit longer.

How about $300 on smoker.
$400 on meat.
The rest on adult beverages????
Then we could all come over for supper.

You, my friend, are a very brave man. If I spent $1,000.00 without getting my wife to agree to it first, it would sting for a very, very long time. The least of my worries would be a hard couch.
