A local club is hosting a brisket and bean throw-down Famous Dave's in Mesa on Aug 13. If anyone is interested you can search AZ barbecue for more info or just PM me. I know I'll be there with a brisket or two and some beans..
This is a cook-at-home event. You just need to show up (registered) with your cooked brisket and a knife. Good place to get your feet wet in competition style Q.
