Hi all, I am a novice brisket smoker. I have a 3 lb piece I picked up at the store today to smoke tomorrow on my traeger 34. I plan on pulling it at 160-170 to wrap then back on until 200-205 then rest wrapped in a cooler. Is it safe to say it should take approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 15 mins per pound?

Size don't matter, only time matters when it comes to getting a very tough piece of meat to become tender.
I would figure at least 6 hours unless you cook hot and fast, 350, and 4/5 if hot and fast.

That is a very small brisket & it will be a real challenge to get it to come out moist & tender. I have a tutorial on smoking a small flat, maybe this will help you.
