Wow Brisket for .97 cents a pound. I may have to make a drive to Allen Tx.

$3.05 per pound here in Bastrop, TX HEB for select grade - I don't even want to look what prime costs (they don't sell choice here).

Brisket used to be economy beef!

It iis a 40 mile drive from Sherman. Problem is when I go down I will make several stops and I buy stuff I would not have gotten! I hate when that happens. I all ready been on a sales shopping spree this month. Hard to pass up .87 cents cook ham's also!

I didn't realize we were neighbors!

Nevertheless, 4hr drive to Allen, then back... not sure my boss would be happy if I dropped everything to hit the road just to buy on-sale meat... He's not Texan (nor a smoker) and wouldn't understand the moral imperative this would be :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

This is the time to stock up! Ribeye for 4.97. Time to Umai!
This is a Fred Meyer in Western WA for other members in the area.
Same price we have here in Gilbert at the local Kroger affiliate. I'll get a whole-in-the-bag roast and toss it into the freezer for a few months, break it down later. RAY

tallbm tallbm Carlo have you looked at these? I dont have any room in freezer for one. I would just cook it. Put a couple of those .89 cent cook hams in freezer. A guy I know has a venison processing place. Told him if someone does not pay I will. He says has to wait until Feb. I will need make room if it happens.

No I hadn't seen it, thanks for tagging me about it!

The Market Street website has failed for a few months now when it comes to showing their weekly add on their website so I have to look in the "list view" of items on sale and it doesn't show these digital deals, only the prices on straight deals.

Tom Thumb/Alberstons/Safeway/Randals also has Choice Cut briskets for $1.99/lb limit 1 digital coupon only. Was planning on getting 1 of those on Sunday since they have 10% off entire bill if you wear a Cowboys jersey on gameday. That puts the brisket at $1.80/lb .

The select briskets at Market Street are usually about Choice grade. Well at least at the store I go to and they have a ton to dig through so I always find some really good ones there!

Also Market Street sells a 100% Mesquite Pellet brand that is probably only available here in TX so I like that too. I just hope they keep it in stock forever, but just in case I have like 100 pounds of the pellets anyhow should they disappear from the face of the earth. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have 100% mesquite wood for smoking beef :D

Thanks for the heads up. Clipped the digital coupon from the App and ready to rock and roll when I go soon :)
