Brinkman 810-1750-S First time

After reading the thread on this smoker...I'm a nervous wreck about trying the smoker for the first time this weekend. I honestly thought it would be SO easy to use.  
I found this forum while looking for the manual.

Has anyone used the smoker WITHOUT modification??

I think we better prepare to use the rotisserie as a back up.
