Brining

Hi all:
I was looking at a chicken receipe that called for bringing. Water, Kosher salt and brown sugar. What about using tenderquick. Does it cut the brine time. Any info out there is appreciated.

If you use TQ you will have a cured product . Which I have done . Comes out great if you're looking for cured bird . I do it on breast meat to slice for sandwiches .

I have 2 gallons to 2 cups of TQ for for birds 5 lbs each what do you think
