Have 2 7.5lb Boston Butt's I am going to cook for New Years Eve..  How long should I cook them for?  Having them in cooler right now..

Sorry new at this with a Electric Smoker, just looking for some help..

Can't give you a time but you need to cook to temp.

 165° and foil w/ a couple oz of apple juice , Cook to 200° let rest for at least an hour and then pull.

 It will work out to somewhere around  1.75 hrs per lb but some go longer some go shorter.

Your 90 min/lb estimate is pretty good, but better off using internal temps.

You're gonna hit a "Stall", so don't panic, just let it do it's thing.

start way sooned then you need to, that way if you have a stall your fine, if you do not have a stall then double wrap in foil and towel then place in cooler till ready to pull.
