Boiling Jerky

at http://www.askthemeatman.com/ they talk about boiling the meat first, to cook it........anyone here ever heard of such a thing, or even tried it?

I've never heard of this. Don't even want to try it. All you need for good jerky is some sort of cure and a low smoke.
