Hey John, incredible spread there. You do a cook right! Plus you drink Stevie Nicks label. I can’t find fault in anything you post now. Care to share the recipe for the cider vinegar buttermilk slaw. I have to say I’m intrigued. Two big thumbs up and bravo.
G

Thanks Riverside appreciate the kind words! Man I love the three taverns brews. Only problem is you can only get them in GA. I've got a family member that lives down there and brings me 6er's when he comes up. Last time I got him to bring me a bunch! The earl gray tea sour is outstanding.

As far as the buttermilk slaw goes its always a hit. 1 bag of shredded slaw lettuce from the grocery store. Would probably be better if you shredded your own but I am too lazy for that haha.

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 tablespoons dijon mustard
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1-2 teaspoons cracked black pepper
Pink sea salt to taste

Whisk together and dump over cabbage mix. I like to let it sit for a couple hours in the fridge before serving.

Damn John...just DAMN!! That is one awesome spread of food my friend. Don't know that you could have done much more and I bet folks were thrilled with all that you did. I know I would have been :emoji_wink: My birthday is next week and I'm planning to do something nice but I'm not going to that extent.

Big LIKE sir for a great job!!
Robert

Thanks Robert appreciate it my friend! It was a ton of work but it was fun. I started Saturday night and didn't finish until dinner time on Sunday. Cant wait to see your birthday dinner!

Looks great, smoked potato salad is loved around here. not that we are supposed to be eating them , try it some times but don't fix when you have other smoked stuff, its easy to not taste the difference if you have a big bite of pulled pork in your mouth lol

Thanks Mike! Yeah I like to have a good balance of smoked stuff and non smoked stuff most of the time! I had posted it in the other thread but check out Krogers for the boneless half ribeyes for $5.99 lb...good week to stock up on steaks!

Great spread and post, Vol.... My birthday is a couple of months away and I've decided to have at your house.:emoji_sunglasses::emoji_sunglasses:

Thanks man appreciate it! Come up on anytime we will fire the smoker up and fill the cooler up. Just don't wear your Gator gear :emoji_laughing:

Superb John, A meal that Henry the 8th would be proud to sit down to. It's also good to see you stayed hydrated during that marathon smoke-feast.

Point for sure
Chris

Appreciate the kind words! Hydration is the #1 most important thing while cooking Chris!

John, 30 pack of PBRs on sale now for 18.00 up here. Just thought I mention it in case you happen drive thru.

Well well well...I have a CPB brisket going on the Rec Tec tomorrow evening for Saturday dinner so I can relate. It's a tough life we live when we spend two days cooking for one meal that's going to be devoured in 15 minutes :emoji_astonished:

Cant wait to see your birthday dinner!

It's probably just going to be basic CPB tomahawk rib eye steak with some yummy sides. Nothing like what you did here but it should fill the void

Damn that's a steal! They wont even sell 30 packs in this part of TN. And a 24 pack of miller, coors, bud, yuengling, etc... is $22. If I drive an hour and 20 min to the GA state line I can buy 30 packs of the same for $18.99 hence to say I stock up when I am down there.

Don't forget to post some pics of that brisket! I also haven't seen the SM in action in awhile when are you going to get that fired up?

Fantastic looking line-up there. Your not suppose to have to cook for your own birthday. Ha ha !
Happy Belated...

Thanks Winter. Yeah my wife thinks I am crazy for wanting to do all that on my birthday haha but its fun. Seeing people enjoy your food makes it all worth it!

Very nice spread, John! Everything looks off the charts amazing.

I think you have a career in catering. I don't think I could watch over that much food at one time.

Awesome!

A question on your slaw you made...looks awesome and want to make it this weekend. You said a bag of slaw mix, do you know what size of bag it was? I got one today but by the look of your pan of slaw your bag was bigger than the one I bought.

Thanks
Ryan
