Wanted to say thanks and let everyone know what a swell guy Bbally is.

I've been involved in fund raising for the March of Dimes for the past few years, and was asked this year to cook for one of our main events - pulled pork and chicken is on the menu. I simply had no idea how to try and gauge how much of each for a target crowd of 300, so I shot Bbally a PM today and he responded with in the hour.

I really appreciate that, and will keep everyone updated. This is for a lunch on Tuesday, so I'm going to smoke the butts on Sunday, and hit the chicken that morning.

Again, thank you very much Bbally,
Tracey

very cool of bob and to you as well for helping out a good cause!

I lost a son, preemie, 1 lb, 6 oz. in 1987. I applaud you for helping this organization as it is my charity of choice.

Sorry to hear that, CM. You are absolutely right - this is a good charity for a great cause.

Chefrob - thank you.

I don't know when it is taking place as I used to do Star Chefs for March of Dimes, but if it is soon you are welcome to use my rig to cook on if it would help.

Bob,
Words can't describe how generous that offer is, and how much I appreciate it. Given my schedule, I'm going to smoke the butts on Sunday, and finish off the chicken thighs Tuesday morning for lunch that day (4/13).

I have not doubt that your rig - onsite - will blow my Q outta the water, I simply don't have the time to do it. I was hit outta the blue to do this on Wednesday(4/7), so that's the game plan.

You've already helped me more than you will ever know by giving me the meat quantities for this size of croud.

I can't let an offer like this get away, though... so I'm going to make a note to self and make sure I look you up with plenty of advance warning next year.

Consider this an invite for a free sammie and you can be the judge!
2952 North Avenue, Tuesday 4/13 - 11:30 - 1:00.
Look for the guy with the glue camo apron with "Cook Like A Man" embroidered all over it.

Thanks again, Bob - I know you do a lot of charity events - this charity is up their with the best of them.

Tracey

it is a beautiful thing you are doing; this is what I love about this forum...good people doing good things!!! Good luck with the cook Tracey! and by the way, nice looking rig, Bob!!! if your ever in Middle Tennessee....!!!

This is exactly why I love this forum. I can be a jerk at times (and those posts usually get deleted, lol), but I have a big heart, and I love hanging out with others that do, too. I've seen so many posts here about people giving their time and money for church and charity and the tremendous responses from the members here, and I'm always overwhelmed.

Thank you to all of you for reminding me that good people really do still exist.

Kinda sounds like two stand up guys to me
