heheheh.......smoke.......looks like i am following your around........

i have half of that piece of meat, that i smoked for my beef sandwiches.......and we are going to make beef stew......let you know how it werks......LOL

I did that 2 weeks ago. Was a last minute smoke - thought of it Sunday at noon.Went to the store and bought 5# of stew meat already cubed. Salt, pepper, garlic - layed it out on 2 shelves. Filled the water bowl w/ a boiled concoction of water, onions, garlic, oregano, allspice, pepper, celery seed - and maybe a few others for some aeromatics.

Smoked it for about 2 - 2 1/2 hours w/ hickory & cherry blend, then put it in the oven w/ carrots, onions, peas, gravy - low & slow on 300 for about 3 hours. The stew meat was incredibly tender, and the smoke flavor from the meat flavored everything. Over some egg noodles was a feast

I was a little hesitant to post about this, cuz it seems a bit strange- but man..it turned out great for a last minute smoke!
