Some of the reviews I read stated that was their thoughts on the cover. Changed material and quality. Which had me looking else were.

Cognoscenti, now there's a word that I haven't seen in awhile. Anyway, we love a good steak and chicken wings, so my thoughts are either of those or even both :emoji_grinning:.

As for your outdoor cooking area, I'm about to expand and modify mine. I see a couple of ideas that I'm going to steal from you :emoji_wink:. What's the general dimensions of your patio?
Nice rig! Just a thought though. If you get a cover for it. I'd forgo the weber one. Haven't heard many good things about them. I went with the KingKong 7152 grill cover. You can find them on Amazon. About half the cost. Strong and durable. And not stiff and hard to put on.
Steve, this is exactly what I've been looking for for my 2 Weber kettles. I had Weber covers and they have long ago torn up. Bought the cheap $5 covers from Big Lots and you can guess how long those lasted. Thanks. For those interested in a KingKong cover for a Weber kettle, the model number is 7149.

No prob … as they say, no new ideas, just new adaptations of old ones.
Patio roughly 12x20. Had planned to do more of an L shaped cooker/counter array, but nicer to fit all against deck where I have power, water, and gas … and maintains walkway to the left around house to get to attached shed and garage. Would rather keep all my fuel and paraphernalia there instead of plastic tubs outside that are sure to be homes for spiders.
And you might see the upper EMT clamp/hanger above the work table … have a big 9x15 umbrella to mount there … Will have 2 mounting spots so it covers all but the most outboard cooker on the opposite end.

These are great covers. Hope you like them.

I'm talking about the grill work surface . The older ones are porous . Soaks up grease and stains easy . The price of the one like you have is half the price of the whole grill . I sand mine and put mothers car wax on it .

call weber, they will replace that top for free. Best warranty and customer service ever. Not kidding. they replace it with the black metal one.

As Mark Twain sorta said (oft misquoted) the reports of my demise have been exaggerated.
Didn’t get a chance to use the Weber before surgery, 3 weeks post-op now but still can’t lift, twist, pull, or push.
Hoping some friends come to visit and I put them to work 😁
Did have friends pop by for a few hours yesterday and brought me a 3 rack care package 😁

Hope springs eternal … some day …
