Not really important just wanted to spout off a bit. The freezer sorta
took a dump. not too bad just the circulating fan went south. it is an upright and I noticed a small puddle forming under the door. The top shelf was starting to thaw. I put everything in coolers and repaired the fan.
everything from the top shelf down was still frozen tight , the top was startin to get mushy.. I'm a COOKIN RED NECK this weekend.. I got a big pork shoulder and a bunch of brisket point sections and about a dozen boneless short ribs to do.. I was startin' to get hungry. This ought to cure it.. Got it rubbed and in Granmaw for about an hour now.. Hemi.

Are you able to buy points or are they saved from previous briskets?
Man I sure would love to find a place that sold point only.

Lots of goodies going on to the smoker, I'm only 8-10 hours away (depending on where in NC) so if you need some help getting rid of all that smoked goodness I'd be more than happy to help

The points that I have are left over from packers. The only points I have been able to find are already cured or ''corned'' and I am willing to meet U
on I- 95 somewhere near Arlington with a plate of goodies..

About an hour in the smoke..


About 3 hrs at 225-240..
