Hey Ronp, it's actually funnier the second time around.

That was very funny. Thanks Ron. Makes me wonder if the judges comments were staged. You know theses reality shows like to play with the reality part. Anyway it was a hoot. Myron's reaction was as expected and funny.

The interesting part of this whole show is how low these pros score in the comps.

I think this judging was too influenced by the loudmouths in each group.

They would each take a bit, look at eachother, and one person would comment, and the rest just followed.

I would be curious to find out if they had to do KCBS style where they mark the score before commenting if the scores would have come out different.

Also, how did Paul not win? His combined ranking for BB and Spares was higher overall than Harry's combined ranking

AMEN! This poster is dead on...

They all looked at eachother, then as soon as one judge said something, they all fell in line like sheep jumping off a cliff!

What SHOULD have been enforced, like I think is the case in other comps, the judges score the cards without talking to eachother. Then, as soon as the score cards are all marked - they can talk about what they liked or didn't like from each entry. If other comps aren't done that way - they should be, IMO.

It is a FACT of the human psyche - that no one wants to be embarrassed by saying something out loud that then entire group would disagree with. Why they would all listen to whatever judge speaks up first, and then fall in line with her or her opinion is beyond me...but still - awesome show. That was one of my favorite episodes.

I think it is because you are focusing on the combined rank and not the combined score.

I think the "scores" for the BB carried more weight since they were higher and that was where Paul finished 4th. Plus, the spread from Harry to Paul in the BB was likely much greater than Paul to Harry in the spares.
