This was the only think that I could find at Lowe's on Christmas eve day. Found a bad that I had stashed so just used this bag this week. No complaints just wandering if anyone else has seen or tried it.

I have not, but there has been some controversy over the years with South American sourced woods for charcoal. From my recollection, some of the conversations had to do with: environmental concerns, flavor, sparkiness when lighting, and ash production. Doug over at Naked Whiz Charcoal Review does not show it yet on his site, but I bet it will show up eventually.

I've not used that brand, but have used Harder Charcoal lump which is the same type wood, Quebracho or axe breaker as it's called. I had no problems with it, but it did spark some and it burns very hot. The Harder company says that their lump comes only from fallen trees and limbs, but it is South America so I'm skeptical...

And those are two of the things that I also noticed. I don't usually have sparks with the gravity flow but had a good bit last night but it did climb from 225 to 650 in record time! So I agree but it definitely burns hot.
