Augusta, Show Me The Wood

I'll be visiting Augusta, GA in a few weeks, for 2 days.  Where can I get some peach wood to bring back to STL... disclaimer: I'll be in a medium size rental, but my back seat will be empty

I just found out we will be on Washington Rd and Highway 20. I found one place but she was an hour away, I'm trying to find something a little closer than an hour away.

I would also look for pecan as it is plentiful in Ga. as well... sorry I can't help you out though.. good luck ...

Is the area under any wood transport restrictions? In Ohio and nearby states they are fighting the spread of a few invasive insects like gypsy moths and ash borers.

Oh thanks Blue, kill my dreams, lol  Actually, I never thought about that, I can see it now I'm driving down the mountains and a moth flies out of the wood, and my girl screams louder than me, but I'm in her lap... who's driving the car?
