My brother in law has taken to calling my wife and I 'foodies' lately. I thought that term was reserved for d0uchebag food snobs (gist of Urban Dictionary defs), but my read of the 'net suggests the term may have wider application to anyone who is into cooking, snob or not. Which would certainly be us. Thoughts?

Well I love eating good food, and cooking good food...but I sure hope folks don't call me a douchebag because of it.

Sometimes I'm not sure which I enjoy more, cooking it or eating it.  Actually, for me, it's probably watching other people eat it and how much they enjoy it.  Now, I've never been called a douche bag because of it, but have sent people pictures of what I'm cooking and having them tell me "I hate  you"!  In jest of course because I'm rocking a great rack of ribs, wicked baked beans and skillet corn bread while they're eating fish sticks and box macaroni and cheese.

I don't consider myself a foodie. I am probably too picky about eating certain foods to qualify for that. I have been more open to trying some new things since I started posting here though. Still, I don't think being here has to qualify you as a foodie. So if you take offense to that term don't worry, you don't have to be one.

No ,we're not "Foodies" , We all have O.S.S. , that's (Obsessive Smoking Syndrome) . It is diagnosed as a condition that makes one go into a foggy eyed trance when walking by Meat and Poultry .

Once contracted , you can expect to have  plume of smoke from your Smoker each weekend or more in some cases.

Neighbors will be complaining of not being invited to the meal and you'll always have more friends than you can shake a Bone at...

Take care and have plenty of supplies , you never know when it will strike.
