Well I don't know of anyone using one of these for work or any other reasons so I figured I would turn to our trusty community here since I can heavily rely on the input/feedback versus other sources lol.

In short an Autobag machine uses a spool of pre-opened bags that it will feed, blow open the next bag, allow you to fill it. Then when triggered will seal the bag, separate and start feeding the next bag forward to start it all over again. Here are some videos for it since a video showing it working is better than me explaining with words.

If I knew where I could walk in and see one in use and look at one it would be helpful for me to understand a few things about it and such. I could come up with a bajillion uses for one but I feel like a human that sees a car on tv or videos but has never encountered one in real life and may want to buy one hahahaha. We all know it is wise to go see a tool or machine in use or get your hands on one before purchasing one based the fantasy of what we think and what videos show us.

Anyhow, I'm not sure I will get any responses but I know any feedback I get on these machines would likely be reliable if it came from folks here :D

Oh yeah, I can imagine a LOT of different uses for it such as small parts, items that are sensitive to moisture (drop in one of those small desiccant packs), spice packets, etc.

Bet they're pricey, though!

Oh yeah they cost a little bit lol.
The ones from the US are like a minimum $15k at the moment but things fluctuate like crazy right now depending on if they are made in the US or not and/or tons of parts not coming from the US.

Like most stuff I see these machines are made in China and are likely ordered by the suppliers here in the US. Direct from China I see them costing $3-5k, but again this fluctuates all over right now as well.

So getting one directly from China would make the most sense to cut out the middle man with how simple these machines are. The kicker is using it in a way that justifies the cost or in a way that makes a little money, which I can think of a few ways lol :D

Back when I was into shooting 3 gun and action shooting, I was shooting a 2000 to 2500 rounds of reloaded 5.56 and 45 ACP. It would've been sweet to have them packed into 100 Rd bags with an oxygen absorber in each bag.
I'd of never paid anywhere near what those machines cost, though, that would cover a heck of a lot of loading components.
I don't shoot nearly as much these days, back then I was at the range 3 to 5 days a week, I did that for yrs, until my house was robbed. They didn't get any guns, thank God, but they did get my $1200 muffs and about $4000 worth of goods I had in my range/shooting bag, alone with 30 ten Rd Wilson Combat 45 ACP and 5.56 mags, a 1000 Rd case of Black Hills Dual Performance 5.56 ammo and a couple 1000 Rd cases of Speer Lawman 45 ACP ammo that I had just won at a shoot.🤬

Yeah it would be nice to package up rounds like that. That sucks about the theft but yeah at least they didn't get the guns.

If it weren't so hot I'd be at the range I have a good bit of work I want to do with a number of handloads. For example, Shilen is in my backyard and I was able to get a 30-06 barrel for a stupid cheap price at their once a year event where they sell off all abandoned barrels people buy and never pick up. They knock off 50%+ or so on these barrels. While going to their once a year event, they happened to have a barrel that was 9 out of like 10 things I was looking for at a stupid low price so I'm hoping to get loads worked up for this hunting season.

The initial load ladder testing produced 2 loads good enough for hunting but not quiet under 1inch at 100yds which is what I go for... especially with such a high quality barrel.

I would love to be able to work up more for other firearms I have and hope too as things cool off outside in a couple of months.

As for the bag machine, you can see the sky is the limit for bagging things. I just wish I could physically get to see one and play with it lol.

Sweet deal on the 06 barrel, 06 is bu far my favorite caliber, that and 300 Savage.
I really need to get back into it, heck the range is less than 2 miles from my house.
I have two ranges within 10 minutes from the house. One is rifle, pistol and skeet, trap, and 5 stand. The other is shotgun games only. Everything is just so damn expensive thes days.
My pension money is nice, but it's not 2025 prices nice, it you know what I mean. My whole life I was able to afford pretty much whatever I wanted to do within reason. Not so much today, almost makes me want to go back to work for a few years......NOT!!!🤣🤣🤣

I hear ya.

Handloading doesn't really save any money but it does allow someone to shoot pretty much whenever they want, provided the weather is cooperating. Bulk buying components means a good volume to be had.
Plus there is the bonus of avoiding the local gun store. 99% of the time the people working them are so frustrating. Around here they all seem to tell you "what you want is..." and "that's no good", when you've been doing it, working it, and know exactly what you are talking about hahaha.

All the while charging people $160 and 3 weeks lead time to mount a scope and bore sight a rifle.... It blows my mind. I'm so glad I do all this stuff myself hahaha. Anyhow I'll get off my soap box :D
