Anyone here ever do pellet swaps with one another?

I have been smoking for a month or so now and no two smokes have been the same needing different pellets.  Actually they have all been quite different.

I don't see that trend changing and it is creating a problem.

I now have 3 different bags of 40 pounds of pellets, 2 bags of 20 pounds of pellets, and a 7 pack sampler of one pound bags of 100% pellets (Cherry, Pecan, Maple, Hicory, Apple, etc.).

All for a grand total of approximately 167 pounds of pellets and I still need to get other types of pellets!

I am doing 1 smoke a week, maybe two so I will not be going through all these pellets anytime soon.

If anyone in the North Dallas or Round Rock TX area would like to do some 5 pound swaps please feel free to PM me.

Looking for non-Traeger or oil flavored pellets:
  • 100% Pecan
  • 100% Cherry
  • 100% Apple
  • 100% Mesquite
I have:
  • Pit Boss Competition Blend approx 38 pounds - (Cherry, Hickory, Maple blend, not sure of percentages)
  • Pacific Pellet Mesquite Blend approx 18 pounds - (30% Mesquite 70% Alder)
  • Louisiana Grills Mesquite Blend approx 39 pounds - (35% Mesquite 65% Maple)
  • CookinPellets 40h Hickory approx 39 pounds - (100% Hickory)
  • Camp Chef Alder 20 pounds - (I believe 100% Alder because Camp Chef's blend base is Alder from what I read, so I believe Alder + Alder = 100% Alder)
Let me know if any of this seems sensible.  Thanks :)
