OK i am planning on grinding some venision up on thanksgiving day and then re freezing it till i get my seasonings etc from butcher-packer. Is this ok to do? The venision is frozen now in my freezer and will be resealed in foodsaver bags after grinding.

Wait for the seasonings and do it all at the same time. Takes the worry out of second freezings which can dry out your venison.

Cheers!

I agree with Monty, now you have small dense chunks of meat, therefore, little freezer burn, the more you expose, the more burn you will get, even with vacuem(sp) packing.

Follow the advice you have received. There is nothing unsafe or unhealthy about it, but your quality will be sacraficed. Be patient, wait, and do it all at the same time.
