getting ready to cold smoke my bacon  and i will be using  maple dust that i got from Todd . this will be the first time using dust  in my amnps. do i pack it in or put  in loosely?   any tips will be greatly appreciated

Ikrus, afternoon..... Put it in loosely... that gives the fire places to travel... so it's not like a solid piece of wood... AND don't forget the q-views of the bacon......  Dave

I would of suggested a light pack, like tapping the AMNPS on a solid surface a couple time... I think that way you have less chance of combustion. That is how I use dist anyways.

did great    i  smoked it friday into saturday  for 15hrs  then wrapped and fridge did a taste test this am it was awsome  have it in freezer now waiting to partially freeze so i can slice it up . will post pics
